Born Jamie King in Omaha, NE, on April 23, 1979, King's road to the big screen began at the local modeling school at age 12. Two years later, at the school's final presentation, King was discovered by a New York modeling agent and was soon on the fast track to a career, appearing in major magazines including Vogue, Cosmopolitan,

King's acting career really took flight, with appearances in the biopic Blow, the blockbuster Pearl_Harbor, and the teen-horror satire Happy_Campers. The actress would spend the 2000's cementing her role as an in-demand starlet, appearing in films like Sin City, Two for the Money,

and Fanboys, as well as numerous TV shows, like The Class, Gary Unmarried, and Heart of Dixie.

Following a stint in the Marines, King launched his musical career in 1979. His recording debut
came on the long-titled album Stanley Brothers Classics with Ralph Stanley and the Clinch Mountain Boys and Introducing James King in 1985. His second album, Reunion with Ralph Stanley Featuring George Shuffler and James King, was released three years later.
